LASG announces traffic diversion on the Third Lagos Continental Bridge before repair work begins.

Repairs would be undertaken by the state-owned utility between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., August 14, 2022.

Traffic will be diverted from one lane to another at the section identified on the third continental bridge.

He said the rehabilitation was needed to resolve bottlenecks along the bridge at peak times due to eroded sections.

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan for the start of repair works on the stretches of eroded asphalt along the Third Continental Bridge.

Repairs would be undertaken by the State Public Company between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday August 14, 2022.

A statement signed by Transport Commissioner Dr Frederic Oladeinde said traffic will be diverted from one lane to the other at the identified section on the bridge.

Oladeinde added that the rehabilitation was needed to resolve the bottlenecks along the bridge at peak times due to eroded sections.

The Transport Commissioner assured that officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) would be posted to direct traffic to improve inconvenience to motorists. He implored vehicle owners to support the state government in its efforts to provide quality and safe road infrastructure.
