Schaeffler will present its repair solutions at Automechanika

Schaeffler’s Automotive Aftermarket division has announced that it will present its comprehensive portfolio of market-oriented and future-oriented repair solutions for combustion engines, hybrid and electric vehicles at Automechanika Frankfurt from September 13 to 17, 2022.

With the slogan “Your business is our priority”, Schaeffler states that it is presenting numerous new products from its product brands LuK, INA and FAG at its stand and taking a close look at daily repair routines in garages as well as mobility of the future. With its repair kit for electric axles, the “Schaeffler E-Axle RepSystem – G”, presented for the first time at the fair, Schaeffler’s automotive aftermarket is also among the finalists in the innovation prize race Automechanika, according to the company.

“Schaeffler is well prepared for the growing repair needs of hybrid and electric vehicles and has always brought new technologies and original equipment expertise to the independent aftermarket. Staying true to this approach is particularly evident this year – and finally again in personal contact,” says Jens Schüler, CEO of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket. “With our smart repair solutions and digital service offerings, we help garages meet the growing challenges of electric mobility and digitalization. At the same time, we ensure that they are always able to repair traditional combustion engines professionally. This will allow garages to continue to provide full service to their customers.

This year, Schaeffler’s stand at the Agora Outdoor Space Forum, area A02, is structured around three zones: “Market-Centric”, “Customer-Oriented” and Future-Ready.

Market focused focuses on the needs of our customers and includes the repair solutions garages need today and in the near future: highlights include the LuK C0 disconnect clutch repair kit for hybridsthe second-generation INA thermal management module for vehicles with automatic start/stop or hybrid drive, as well as the latest wheel bearing generations from the proven FAG WheelSet.

Schaeffler says he will also showcase new technologies from vehicle development. Visitors can take a look at the 800-volt 3-in-1 electric axle, the latest TriFinity wheel bearings or the intelligent mechatronic rear wheel steering (iRWS). Sooner or later, all of this will be relevant for garages – and Schaeffler will provide the independent aftermarket with suitable repair solutions in time. For example, the “Schaeffler E-Axle RepSystem – G” – this is currently the only repair solution that allows garages to repair E-axles instead of replacing them completely. Aftermarket experts will demonstrate how this translates to reality during live presentations on a Volkswagen E-Golf on the stand.

Customer oriented

In addition to repair solutions, support is the central topic of the stand, especially the REPXPERT service brand, which is the focus of the “Customer-Oriented” area. REPXPERT bundles all service offerings in the aftermarket and provides independent garages with digital and fast support, but not without personal contact. The online portal currently has more than 200,000 users worldwide. REPXPERT provides the best possible support across many channels – from catalog data to parts identification and from e-learning to live or remote support.

In addition, visitors can try out the Schaeffler OneCode: the QR code can be found on LuK, INA and FAG packaging and expands the company’s digital service offering with a particularly user-friendly solution. Within seconds, the garage can access the information on the respective part number, verify the authenticity of the product and collect REPXPERT bonus points. They simply scan the OneCode with their smartphone or tablet or enter it manually in the REPXPERT app or online portal.

Future-Ready: the sustainable mobility of tomorrow

Schaeffler says a large part of its presence at the fair is devoted to the topics of future mobility and sustainability. This is where the Schaeffler Group’s “rolling chassis” takes center stage: a space-saving and scalable vehicle architecture focused on autonomous driving, featuring drive-by-wire technology, four hub drives high or low voltage electric wheels and single wheel steering. . And finally, Schaeffler uses an interactive application to inform about the sustainable development activities of the Group and the Aftermarket division.

“In the Automotive Aftermarket division, we are also looking at how we can help the Group achieve its sustainability goals,” said Schüler. “Our solutions are already extending the life of vehicles. We bring the topic of e-mobility to the aftermarket in close cooperation with our colleagues from the Automotive Technologies division, for example with the new “Schaeffler E-Axle RepSystem – G” for the repair of electric axles. And thanks to innovative digital tools, we only produce and ship what the market really needs and save valuable resources.
